Sony has just announced their latest mobile imaging sensor, the IMX318 Exmor RS. This is a type 1/2.6 stacked CMOS image sensor with 22.5 MP, and it is the industry’s first stacked CMOS sensor with built-in high-speed hybrid autofocus and built-in 3-axis EIS for video. Sony says the IMX318 Exmor RS will be ready for shipments in May of this year.
