Neural networks have brought major advancements to AI lately, and some MIT researchers have developed a low-power chip that could bring this to mobile devices. Mobile GPUs can be used for these neural networks but it comes at a cost, battery life. This chip from MIT is said to be 10 times as efficient as a mobile GPU, and it could run these powerful algorithms locally.
