MediaTek has just introduced a new SoC for their Helio P series and it seems like they they’re still focusing on efficiency with this chipset. It will have 8 Cortex A53 cores with 4 being low power (at an undisclosed frequency right now) and then 4 being high power at 2.3GHz. They’ve upgrade the GPU to the Mali T880MP2 and also support for 32-bit LPDDR4X RAM at 1600MHz.
