MediaTek’s Helio X20 uses 2 Cortex-A72, 4 Cortex-A53 and 4 Cortex-A53 cores to become the world’s best 10-core mobile SoC. There have been some rumors lately that claim the chip has been overheating during lab tests, but today the company refutes those rumors on their official Weibo account. MediaTek says if the chip does start to heat up, it will shut off the two Cortex A72 cores.
