Wi-Fi HaLow (pronounced ‘halo’), will be for products that wish to utilize the new 802.11ah technology. This will run on the 900Mhz spectrum and we usually see products like microwaves and cordless phones using it. It promises to use less power as well as increase range due to its ability to penetrate through walls better and it is ideal for IoT and wearable products.
