James Kuffner joined Google in 2009 as a member of their software engineering team for self-driving cars. The man quickly moved up the ladder and became a prominent figure in the company’s robotics division but now he has left for another project. Kuffner joins Gill Pratt, along with other robotics and artificial intelligence researchers, at the $1 billion Toyota Research Institute in Silicon Valley.
