The CyanogenMod team has decided to end support for WhisperPush functionality that was baked in within CyanogenMod. WhisperPush services will be ended on 1st Feb 2016 from the server side, meaning that all branches of CM will be affected. As an alternative for a secured messaging protocol, the team has recommended users install Open Whisper Systems’ Signal application.
