In a bug reporting dating back to October 5th, multiple users of the Nexus Player are experiencing washed out colors on Android 6.0 when compared to 5.1.1. This is also happening with the Nexus 5X & 6P, and all three bugs have been acknowledged by Google. A fix is coming for the 5X and 6P, but Google engineers are still working on fixing it for the Nexus Player.
