Many Android users have received a Google Now notification to alert them that they need to leave by a certain time to reach their destination on time. This was previously only possible from Google applications but now Google has opened up this predictive travel time tech as a Google Maps API. So now developers of 3rd-party applications can use this surprisingly helpful feature.
