Amazon has a long tradition of releasing devices with operating systems based on Android. XDA Senior Member ggow once again ported the CyanogenMod ROM to Amazon Fire – one of the newest tablets in Amazon’s family. After some initial problems with kernel, it is now booting without tethering. A build is quite stable and can be used as a daily driver.
