Niantic Labs was spun off from Google back in August and now the team has just announced that they are receiving $30 million from a round of investors. $20 million of this is coming from Google, The Pokémon Company Group and Nintendo and Niantic says they plan to use it for expanding its platform for both Ingress and the highly anticipated launch of Pokémon GO.
